MY SUPPORT WITH YOUR FUNDING
Grant funding in music is increasingly competitive. There’s a shortage of sponsors and investment, but when people apply for grants over one third are rejected because they don’t meet the funders requirements*.
Perhaps another 25% are rejected because they don’t tell a compelling story. If only applicants realised this, and their applications were correctly targeted and written convincingly, then their chances of success would be greater and their frustrations reduced.
I offer specialised packages that are focused on music businesses, organisations and artists looking for grant funding in the UK. Clients will benefit from my excellent contacts with funders and my experience. Whilst there is never a guarantee of getting grants, clients will be confident that their applications are as strong as possible and be supported through the application process. Bespoke services are available for clients seeking other forms of funding, or international funding.
Interview with M Magazine
M Magazine shone a light on the new Brighter Sound initiative, the Leaders Network. Brighter Sound, a creative music charity based in the North of England, develops the music creators, leaders and industry professionals of the future, homing in on those who are underrepresented in the industry and providing with them with the assistance to support fruitful artistic and career development.
M Magazine spoke with Remi Harris MBE, who will be running the Leaders Network alongside creative industries coach Tamara Gal-On, about the scheme and how to apply.
BBC: Raising Funds For Your Music

Hive meets Signature Brew at Yonder
We are delighted to host a Autumn event in partnership with Yonder Workspace.
Meet other local businesses from Waltham Forest and listen to our inspirational speakers. Our speakers will be telling us all about their businesses and how they manage their businesses with neuro-diverse challenges and what tips and techniques they have developed.
We are delighted to announce that Sam McGregor, co-founder of award winning Brewery Signature Brew, will be joining us. Signature Brew have brewed beers with so many bands including The Darkness, Alt-J, Slaves and Hot Chip.
Sam will be sharing his story how he and his cousin Tom have built the business to occupy 3 sites, employ over 100+ people, and become a leading brewery. Sam will be sharing his journey growing the business and developing a Growth Mindset to support Signature. We can’t wait to hear Sam’s ‘been there, done that’ advice
Signature Brew has been named Brewery Business of the Year award twice! And they massively enjoy reinventing what it means to be a brewery. They are on a mission to unite people through the power of fresh beer, great music and unforgettable experiences and we are extremely grateful that they have supported Hive Collective for the last 4 years
Then we will be joined by Business Expert Remi Harris who will be sharing with us what it takes to get funding and how she helped Signature Brew fund their first brewery.
Of course there will be plenty of time for connecting and drinks (Signature Brew Beers!).
